“The balance between too little and too much, what is visually pleasing and total chaos, is something that I’m constantly playing with.”

I am a multi-disciplined visual artist based in North Wales; my work is the exploration of materials and relationships between surface and object, colour, layers, and patterns. From drawings to screen-prints, photography, video, live-art, sculptural forms and installations.

Research and use of human anatomy, domestic objects and every so often my own fluttering state of mind are embedded in the work. Making my screen-prints, sculptures and installations act as vessels and metaphors and co-exist with an array of materials and the space it temporarily consists in.

Current Project/News: In 2024 received £2,000 seed funding grant from Cyngor Gwynedd, community creative sector team and UK Government for my project ‘Dy Werth’. The new body of work opened up a monologue in me about being dyslexic, about imposter syndrome, about being a mother, about what is a successful artist? The funding allowed me to reflect on my art practice so far and allow me time to devote myself to my work and explore these questions.

The Eirian Llwyd Memorial Award 2025 is the latest exhibition celebrating the work of the printer Eirian Llwyd together with a selection of previous winners of the Memorial Award and work by the 7 shortlisted artists for this year's 10th Anniversary Award.

Recent Projects/News: ‘Yr Hyn Sy’n Pylu’ solow show at Pontio ,Bangor 2023 was a new body of work that presents the subtle implementations of layers and loud statements of colour and form. The abstract forms are derived from my own study and understanding of my dyslexic brain. The balance between too little and too much, what is visually pleasing and total chaos, is something that I’m constantly playing with.
