Mae chwarae’n broses hynod bwysig yn fy ymarfer celf, ac mae archwilio deunyddiau a dulliau newydd yn llenwi fy ymennydd gyda llawer o drawiadau dopamin hapus!
Felly roedd derbyn cefnogaeth Partneriaeth Ogwen Gofod Gwneud a'u partneriaeth gyda Mentor Môn wedi fy ngalluogi i gael 3 sesiwn gyda'r technegydd Steve, a oedd yn wych. Yn ystod y 3 sesiwn roeddwn yn gallu arbrofi gyda'r torrwr laser ac ailddysgu'r rhaglenni a'r paratoadau ffeilau sydd eu hangen, archwilio acrylig wedi'i ddrychio a magu hyder i ddefnyddio'r offer yn ddiogel yn y gofod gwneuthurwr.
Wrth rannu sgiliau a rhoi yn ôl i'r gofod gwneud rhoddais sgwrs a gweithdy creadigol o fy mhrofiad gyda gofodau gwneud yng Ngwynedd dros y 7 mlynedd diwethaf. Wrth drafod y gwahanol brosiectau creadigol rydw i wedi defnyddio gofodau gwneud i greu elfennau a gweithiau celf ac ailgylchu sbarion plastig a finyl o fy ngwaith celf i greu creadigaethau gwasgedig plastig.
Dwi’n ffodus bod y gofodau gwneud rydw i wedi ymweld â nhw o Pontio Fab Lab, Ffiws Porthmadog, Ffiws Pwllheli, Ffiws Caernarfon a Gofod Gwneud Partneriaeth Ogwen wastad wedi bod yn gofodau croesawgar gyda thechnegwyr cymwynasgar. O ddefnyddio peiriannau brodwaith, offer sublimation, peiriannau torri finyl i dorwyr laser.

Play is a really important process in my art practice, exploring materials and new methods fills my brain with lots of happy dopamine hits!
So receiving the support from Partneriaeth Ogwen Maker Space and their partnership with Mentor Mon abled me to have 3 sessions with technician Steve which was fantastic. Over the 3 sessions I was able to experiment with the laser cutter and re-learn the programmes and file preparations needed, explore mirrored acrylic and gain confidence to use the equipment safely in the maker space.
In sharing of skills and giving back to the maker space I gave a talk and creative workshop of my experience with maker spaces in Gwynedd over the past 7 years. Discussing the various creative projects I’ve utilised maker spaces to create elements and artworks and recycling plastics and vinyl scraps form my artwork to create plastic pressed creations.
I’ve been fortunate that the makers spaces I’ve visited from Pontio Fab Lab, Ffiws Porthmadog, Ffiws Pwllheli, Ffiws Caernarfon and Gofod Gwneud Partneriaeth Ogwen have always been inviting spaces with welcoming and helpful technicians. From using embroidery machines, sublimation equipment, vinyl cutting machines to laser cutters.
